During our initial meeting, we will discuss your new building project in detail. We will go over the scope of the project, your likes and dislikes, your intended budget, complete a site visit and document where applicable, etc. We will contact the proper jurisdiction regarding zoning and permitting if applicable. We will learn about your wish list and the finish materials you would like to see. If you have any plans, photographs or sketches of things you like, please share them with us. In order to serve you best, we need to understand your style.

As a result of our first meeting, you will get an owner's checklist to prepare you for the initial stages of your project, some initial sketches and an initial estimate.

We will then produce conceptual plans or shop drawings showing character of design, a site layout, and your first revised estimate for your project.

We will go over owner responsibilities, design drawings and issue an initial timeline for your project.

We will then do pricing exercises with sub-contractors as applicable, a preliminary set of specifications and allowances, and a revised schedule for your project. We will issue design documents and obtain hard bids from our sub-contractors for your project. Most importantly, you will have a "not to exceed" price for your project from Art Through Labor, Inc.

We will then enter a contractor agreement with the owner. This lets us finalize the design drawings into more comprehensive construction documents for permit, issue final allowances and a final schedule for your project.

We will obtain a building permit and complete construction. You will never have to work with subcontractors, you have one point of contact with Art Through Labor, Inc. and we will always be there for you to ensure the quality of construction, manage costs and manage the sub-contractors for your project. At the end of construction, you will receive a release of lien from sub-contractors, a certificate of occupancy and a quality product.
